Installation
Most alarm panels traditionally give indication of a low battery on the keypad. After ordering a replacement UltraTech battery, here's how to replace the battery in your alarm panel with the new UltraTech replacement battery.
1) Remove the existing battery, by disconnecting the two (typically red and black) leads attached to the metal contacts on the battery
2) Attach the new replacement UltraTech Alarm Battery, matching the red and black lead wires to the same metal terminals taking note to connect the red lead to the metal terminal with plastic underneath it and the black to black
3) Wait one to five hours, as it may take up to five hours for the low battery indicator to disappear from your connected keypad
After following the above steps, your UltraTech Alarm Battery should be completely operational and functional and able to provide battery backup power in case your alarm system is involved in another blackout, brownout or any other inconsistent power situations.
Your original UltraTech Alarm Battery that you have now replaced, is fully recyclable and in most states it is illegal to dispose of it any other way. They are typically recycled at full service auto mechanics, but check the local waste management officials in your area for exact disposal procedures.
